Audio with Adobe Audition
You know the basics of Adobe Audition, now take your knowledge and skills to the next level. In this full day event, we will review the basics of proper recording and mixing, and then move into more detailed skills. This includes proper environment preparation, understanding your recording equipment, multitrack mixing, pacing and levels. Other areas include digital versus analog audio recording methods, recording in the field and the importance of backups, compression and plugins, voice to video, removing unwanted noise and overall energy of audio. When done, you will have the production skills back to your station and produce the best work that you have ever done. Plan to bring your computer with Adobe Audition already installed (there is a free fully functional 30-day trial version available for download from adobe.com) and your phone.

You need at least 4 GB/RAM and 4 GB of local storage on your hard drive. Don’t forget you’ll also need a way to import your audio from your camera.
Presented by John Morris and Sean McDonald.

Basic Video editing with Adobe Premiere
In this pre-con workshop you’ll learn the basics of non-linear digital video editing combined with some fun in-camera editing tricks that will take your video production to the next level. We’ll start with media management, digital workflow, and an introduction to Adobe Premiere. From there we’ll edit practice video into some basic editing sequences and explore the concept of compressed time. Finally, we’ll learn some of the most popular exporting formats for social media, YouTube, and showing your work on a screen. You’ll also have the chance to shoot an optional assignment which will be shown to an audience later during the conference.

Plan to bring your camera and computer with Adobe Premiere already installed (there is a free fully functional 30-day trial version available for download from adobe.com). You need at least 8 GB/RAM and 25 GB of local storage on your hard drive. Don’t forget you’ll also need a way to import your video from your camera.
