KUSF Upgrade Meets Opposition
Last Updated on April 9, 2011 by askcbiorg
As reported earlier, the initial upgrade to the KUSF signal hit a road bump and was derailed by the FCC even before objections were heard. The Radio Survivor Blog reports that the proposed move of the transmission facilities of the student station sold by the University of San Francisco, is running into new problems. “the folks at USF and CPRN have been working to gain approval from the FCC in order to move the KUSF transmitter off-campus and out of San Francisco to Mt. Beacon in Sausalito. With this move CPRN hopes to both maintain greater control over the transmitter and expand the broadcast range of KUSF.”
