West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame to induct Chuck Bailey of Marshall University

Special congratulations to Dr. Charles G. “Chuck” Bailey! Chuck will be inducted into the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame this fall as one of 10 new members for 2013 at the Museum of Radio and Technology in Huntington, W.V.

Bailey has served as adviser and faculty manager at WMUL, Marshall University’s student radio station, since 1985, and as a full-time radio-television production and management professor at Marshall. Under his advisement, WMUL has won more than 1,000 awards including Outstanding College Radio Station from the Marconi College Radio Awards, and twice as a runner-up for College Station of the Year from the National Association of College Broadcasters.

Bailey received the Lifetime Achievement award from the West Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters Association in 2007, the John Marshall Award for Extraordinary Service to West Virginia Higher Education in 2000 and a College Media Advisers Distinguished Four-year Broadcast Adviser award in 1995.
