WCRD at BSU Celebrates 25 years of Broadcasting

More than two decades ago, Ball State alumnus David Letterman partnered with former Ball State professor Darrell Wible to create WCRD, a student-run “carrier current” radio station available only on the AM band and only on campus. Twenty-five years later, WCRD 91.3 is a full-fledged FM station that continues to exemplify college radio as “The Pulse of Ball State.”
In celebration of 25 years of broadcasting, WCRD is celebrating its past by looking forward. WCRD has reserved October 23-26 as its official recognition week for those 25 years.
