WIUX prepares to move again
Before the WIUX town hall meeting began Tuesday night in the Global and International Studies Building auditorium, board members sang and joked. They talked about 2014, the last time the station had to relocate.
As station members filed in, the volume rose. The upcoming move, into an exclusive Media School space, will be different.

If you’ve flipped through the local radio stations in the past few months, you might have noticed that WORW 91.9 FM is sounding more clear these days.
The student-run radio station, based in Port Huron Northern High School, has a new transmitter, funded by a grant from the Community Foundation of St. Clair County, to thank for the improvements in sound quality. The station is better known as the Wave.

Marathon event helps to replenish school’s food bank
“People enjoy giving back, especially this time of year people are more in the giving spirit,” Vanderlip said.
Vanderlip said the school’s 24-broadcast takes a great deal of preparation to organize. Students planned to schedule interesting segments and broadcasters every hour.
“People are usually pretty excited because we play Niagara’s new music, so these 24 hours we usually play whatever we want,” Vanderlip said.
