Several CBI Member Stations finalists for mtvU Woodie Awards
mtvU, MTV’s college channel, has released it top 10 nominees for College Radio Woodie Award, one of which will be named mtvU’s best during a live ceremony on Sunday, March 17. The awards will be televised live from the Austin, TX, as a part of SXSW. Read more from CMJ.

Over two dozen new DJs poised to join Ohio college radio station
College radio station WBGU of Bowling Green University, Ohio, says that no less than 25 new DJs have passed their training exam. “Once they complete their studio observation hours they’ll have a cool new show on WBGU!” the station promises on its Twitter page. WSOU Surpasses Goal for Radiothon Raising Funds for Hurricane Sandy Relief
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – 89.5 FM WSOU, the student-run radio station at Seton Hall University, raised more than $9,500 for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, surpassing the radiothon’s goal of $8,950.
