The 2024 College Broadcasters, Inc. National Student Media Convention will have more  opportunities than ever for students and staff to connect with industry leaders, gear vendors and more.

This year’s event, Oct. 23-26 at the Renaissance Seattle, will bring together  hundreds of students, faculty and university staff members from all over the country eager to learn about career opportunities, leading-edge technology and more.

“The National Student Media Convention is the ultimate platform for industry professionals to engage with the next generation of broadcasters,” said CBI President Anabella Poland.

Opportunities to engage at the four-day event include:
   • Exhibitor tables and sponsorship opportunities including convention special events, awards, snack breaks and on-site materials
   • Pro panelists and sponsored sessions
   • Our first-ever Career Fair, with opportunities to network with students and to set one-on-one interviews

“After attending the National Student Media Convention the last two years, I can confidently say I’ve significantly grown my skills, knowledge, and professional connections in the world of student media. Meeting and talking with other students working in radio and TV has allowed me to bring new ideas and become a better leader for my station. I’d recommend the  conference to any student or advisor wanting to grow their student media outlets!” said Clara Ketchell, CBI Student Board Representative and Station Manager at KJHK 90.7 FM at the University of Kansas.

Sponsorship, exhibitor and Career Fair information is available at AskCBI.org/seattle. Local  industry pros interested in participating as presenters or expert panelists should contact Jessica Clary, Events Director, at events@AskCBI.org.

We’re looking forward to the next two National College Media Conventions: Oct. 22-25, 2025 at the Embassy Suites Downtown in Denver and Oct. 14-17, 2026 at the Warwick Hotel  Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia.
