Help KUGR.org radio replace its studio board
Last Updated on March 28, 2014 by askcbiorg
The current studio board that is used by KUGR was purchased in 2006 – the current board replaced 30-year-old equipment. And it is already breaking down.
The studio board’s issues started when it partially stopped communicating with one of the computers during the Spring 2013 semester. Ever since then the board has continued to break down. These incidents include; freezing, randomly shutting down and rebooting, issues communicating with the transmitter, and general problems related with outdated technology.
All of these issues have forced the Board of Directors into looking to replace the current studio board, and that means that the station had to launch a massive fundraising campaign to replace it.
