Get Ready for Free of Speech Week
Last Updated on October 12, 2011 by askcbiorg
The third week in October marks Free Speech Week, an annual celebration of the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech. Each year, the NAB Education Foundation and Broadcast Education Association, with support from the McCormick Foundation, host a contest soliciting audio and video public service announcements answering the question “what freedom of speech means to me.”
The top three entrants in each category are awarded scholarships and have their message distributed to TV and radio stations across the country. Download the winners to air at your student station.
Free Speech Week runs October 17 – 23, 2011.
