CBI Changes names to College Broadcasters, Inc.

Collegiate Broadcasters, Inc. has officially changed its name to College Broadcasters, Inc. The organization received permission from the State of Delaware to make the changes during the spring of 2008 after petitioning for the change last year. CBI is registered as a not-for-profit organization in Delaware.

Warren Kozireski, chair of the Board of Directors, stated that the change will streamline the name brand of the organization as well as eliminate some confusion during Web searches by people wanting to find out information about the organization. The acronym, CBI, remains unchanged.

The CBI Board initially passed the motion for changing the name during an early fall 2007 meeting. The name change had been on the Board’s agenda for over a year prior to approval for change.
