CBI Board Nominations Being Accepted
CBI is accepting nominations for three board positions: Secretary, Development Director, and Student Representative. All three positions are elected. The non-student board members will each serve a three-year term that begins December 1, 2023. The Student Representative’s term begins May 1, 2023, and it lasts for one year.
You can nominate yourself, or another member. If you’re nominating somebody else, please include a note from them indicating their willingness to serve. Also, please note each member station may only nominate one candidate. Send nominations to Elections Commissioner Greg Newton: elections@askcbi.org
Nominations close December 12, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern).
Full descriptions of all board positions and qualifications are in the CBI Bylaws, but here are brief, non-comprehensive descriptions of the positions that are on this year’s ballot:
Secretary: maintains membership database, handles convention registration, records and distributes meeting minutes
Development Director: secures sponsors and exhibitors for the National Student Electronic Media Convention and other CBI initiatives
Student Representative: mentored by Vice President and works with IT Content Director to develop content for CBI website and other platforms, helps with NSEMC session curation
Questions about these positions may be directed to Greg Newman or any of the board members.
