Or at least the possibility of it going to you exists, but only if you enter the National Student Production Awards this coming Spring.|

Why do I bring this up now in March?

Because now is a good time for your station to start
identifying those news reports, shows, documentaries, commercials, etc. that
you want to consider entering into the awards. By starting to identify those
works now, as well as keeping an eye out for current and future works before
the deadline hits, you won’t have to wait until the week of the deadline to
start combing through a year’s worth of work to find those productions that you
want to enter.

Think about all the stress you can help to minimize!

And for those who don’t know about the awards, the National
Student Production Awards is one of the premiere student competitions in the
country for electronic media. The awards give students the opportunity to
compete against students from across the nation in audio, video and combined
categories, which is something they will be doing when they enter the job
market. It also looks good on a resume to be recognized on a national level.

In closing, starting combing through your work now, keep an
eye out on CBI’s website and on the listservs for announcements, and get ready
to enter the 2019 National Student Production Awards.
