Seton Hall’s WSOU Enters Hall Of Fame
WSOU 89.5 FM, Seton Hall University’s much-heralded, student-run radio station, received a surprise at the annual Kilpop Radio Convention and Rock Radio Awards in Las Vegas: The station was inducted into the Rock Radio Hall of Fame during the Rock Radio Awards Ceremony, the evening of February 23. Established in 2014 by music industry veteran Steven Walker, the Rock Radio Hall of Fame “recognizes and celebrates radio stations and individuals that have made significant and unique contributions to all things Rock!”

Kakie Urch did not hesitate when offering a summation of the working philosophy that has driven WRFL (88.1 FM) for the past three decades.
“This is a perfect example of a coming together of people working both within the system and outside the box.”
KSYM annual pledge kicks off March 5
College radio station KSYM 90.1 FM will begin its annual pledge drive March 5 to help raise funds for the station.
“You have about 20-something DJs coming in over the course of a week so things are going to break form standard use,” Program Director James “Hot Mustard” Velten said in a Feb.14 interview.
