Weekly Showcase: University of Texas at Austin

Last Updated on February 13, 2012 by askcbiorg

Our weekly showcase station this week is Texas Student Television at the University of Texas at Austin. Founded in 1995, they are the only student-run, student-produced, FCC-licensed, digitally broadcasting college television station in the country. They produce a wide variety of videos from news, sports, comedy, and commercials.

One of their regular shows is “Shenanigans”, which is a narrative comedy about a group of friends who film a weekly prank show.

“Sneak Peek” is all about the movies. It is the longest running entertainment program on the station. They review and preview the latest films, cover movies news, and interview major celebrities … like James Franco!

And “KVR News” is TSTV’s weekly news program covering everything happening on campus.
